Volunteer Signup
Volunteer roles are available for attendees who want to contribute to the NetsuCon community.
Volunteers agree to provide 3 hours of time to the event in their specific role.
Accepted volunteers will receive free entry to NetsuCon.
Requirements
All volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Additionally, we ask that volunteers maintain a positive attitude and practice good hygiene. All volunteers must read and agree to our Terms, and follow the Rules, which are standard to everyone. Additionally, all volunteers must read and agree to the Volunteer Agreement.
Volunteers are expected to provide 3 hours of their time to the specific role(s) that they are selected for.
This is only a signup form. Submitting this intake form does not guarantee that you will be accepted as a volunteer.
NetsuCon is a community event, and can only survive if we pool our resources together. Please understand that these roles are performed without compensation or expectation of compensation. These are fun, interactive positions that allow you to meet new people, express your unique styles and talents, and experience the event in more profound ways.
And yes, you can volunteer in cosplay! (In fact, we encourage it).
Roles
There’s a variety of volunteer roles available. This section outlines some of the currently available ones.
Registration
Greet attendees at the front entrance, and check them in.
Keywords: friendly, social, sitting, detailed
Available Shift Times: 11:00am-2:00pm, 1:30pm-4:30pm
You will have a chair to sit in throughout your shift. The process will be fairly simple. You will be provided with a list of Order IDs and names. When attendees arrive, they will provide both to you, and you will check them off the list while giving them wristbands. That’s about it!
If we are still selling tickets at the door, attendees will still need to pay online. You will have access to an email box that sends you an alert to confirm their purchase. We might have a credit card machine on-site too.
Setup
Help us post signs, move tables, and check artists in.
Keywords: standing, lifting, reading maps
Available Shift Times: 11:00am-2:00pm
This shift is best for morning people. From 11am to noon will be a very highspeed run to get the venue set up. We will need to adjust tables, post signs, and help artists/vendors find their space based on the map. Once the event officially opens at noon, your role will shift to keeping an eye on the setup and bringing any issue to staff.
Cleanup
Help fold up tables and chairs, and clean up the venue space.
Keywords: standing, lifting
Available Shift Times: 4:00pm-7:00pm
We will help the venue staff load up tables and chairs once the event is over. Also, we will need to do a clean sweep to make sure there’s no trash on the floor.
