Overview
NetsuCon is a small anime convention with a focus on local art, motion, dancing, socializing and fun. We do this for the love of our community, and to unite people in a place of joy and excitement. We aim to build experiences that are unique, authentic and natural. It’s a place to let loose, build each other up, and party with a purpose. Visit the About page to learn more about mission and vision, including our Principles.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the age group for this event?
This event is open to all ages, but the programming is geared more towards young adults and grown folk. Some content may be considered offensive (though compared to the stuff everyone sees every day on TV and the internet, NetsuCon is mild).
What are the age requirements?
Kids under 13 must have a parent or guardian present at all times.
Kids under 18 may attend unsupervised, but they must have parental consent first, during the registration process.
How crazy is it? Am I going to be clutching my pearls the whole time?
We’re wholesome but we get down. It’s a well-tempered daytime party that keeps it classy and family-friendly, but is not afraid of self-expression. Expect house music, dudes in maid outfits, and all kinds of shenanigans. If stuff like that is going to trigger you, or you don’t want your family to be involved, please stay home. We’re a peaceful and gentle group who just want to have fun. We have no place for drama here. Show up to have a good time, and let’s invoke the spirits of joy and camaraderie.
What’s better, subtitles or dubs?
For political reasons, we cannot confirm nor deny the right answer. But deep down inside you already know.
What’s the point of this event?
To bring people together and make life a little less terrible. To breathe some life into a world that has become disconnected and cold. To party with a purpose. To have fun. To share our love for anime and Japanese culture.
How small is this convention?
We max out the capacity at around 140 people. It’s really small, but all killer, no filler. Unlike giant corpo-cons, we actually care about curating an amazing experience from start to finish. If you show up, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a great time and meet new people. This is the real deal.
How can I get involved?
Volunteer! Or host a panel! Or run an artist booth! There’s so many ways to get involved. Or simply share our event page and tell people about us. The most straight forward way to support our events is to purchase a ticket. Proceeds go directly to event logistics.
When should I buy my tickets?
As early as possible. Tickets will very likely sell out, due to the occupancy limits. Not only are tickets cheaper ahead of time, but there’s no guarantee you’ll get in if you procrastinate. The first 30 tickets are only ten bucks. Last year we sold out the night before. Get your tickets early.
