You
At NetsuCon, the lines between spectator and entertainer begin to blur. You are a core part of this event. Your presence makes a difference. Be your best version and build a vibe with us.
Main Events
The Cosplay Runway

Calling all cosplayers! Here’s your chance to walk the main stage in style. We’re hosting a ballroom vogue style cosplay showcase. Walk, dance, vibe, lip-sync and model down the runway to the beat of house music.
Signups available soon on the Registration page.
Last Player Dancing

Do you love music? Do you love to dance? Then get ready to move, groove, and strike your fiercest pose in the ultimate dance battle game!
Join @MintytheBee and friends for a high-energy, laugh-out-loud dance challenge where the music plays and you show off your best moves—until it suddenly stops! When it does, freeze in your most creative, dramatic, or downright ridiculous pose. Compete to impress the crowd and outlast the other dancers in this fun, judgment-free zone where self-expression rules.
Meet fellow fans, show off your inner character, and maybe even take home a prize. Whether you’re a pro dancer, a cosplay poser, or just here for the fun—this is your moment to shine.
Last dancer standing wins glory… and goodies!
Buugeng Workshop

Try this unique form of flow art in a class led by Spread the Flow!
Props will be available to try!
“Buugeng” is a Japanese term combining the words “Buu” (martial arts) and “Geng” (illusion). The original concept was created by a juggler named Michael Moschen in the 80s, and later adapted by Japanese entertainer Dai Zaobab, who coined the term buugeng in 2003. This form of flow art revolves around creating captivating geometric patterns and optical illusions, through spinning s-shaped staffs.
Engaging in flow arts can offer numerous benefits, both physical and mental. (spreadtheflow.com)
Trivia

Compete for prizes and weeb credits in a variety of trivia games! More details to be announced.
Lip Sync Showcases
Dance your way to stardom!
Signups available soon.
Karaoke

Experience the classic con cringe classic: karaoke. Invented in the early 70s by Daisuke Inoue, the word karaoke is made from the Japanese words kara (empty) and okesutora (orchestra).
Activities
In addition to the Artist Alley, we will have a variety of interactive games and activities running throughout the day.
More details on each activity coming soon!
Speed Friending
Join the round table for a laid-back version of speed friending. The premise is simple. Pick a question out of the box, answer it, and hand it to the person beside you to answer. Fun but lively debate is encouraged, especially with the infamous “subs versus dubs” question.
Bead Friending
Make new friends while building with beads!
Japanese Calligraphy Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to Japanese Calligraphy and the various styles. We’ll start off with the basic strokes and demonstrate the basic styles with some practice on Japanese kanji and hiragana characters.
Crafts

Chill in the gaming room and build some cubee crafts. All the supplies you need will be, umm, supplied. 😁
SAFETY DISCLAIMER: Please be careful with the scissors and cutting tools. They are sharp and can hurt you. We are not responsible for any injuries, per the Terms and Conditions. If you do hurt yourself though, head to the Registration booth, where we have a first aid kit.
Classic Games
This venue offers some of the classics like a mini pool table, giant connect four, and of course, foosball.
Theme
“Halloween meets Christmas, but make it anime.”
Or in a formula:
NetsuCon 2025 = (🎃 + 🎄) * anime
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the age group for this event?
This event is open to all ages, but the programming is geared more towards young adults and grown folk. Some content may be considered offensive (though compared to the stuff everyone sees every day on TV and the internet, NetsuCon is mild).
What are the age requirements?
Kids under 13 must have a parent or guardian present at all times.
Kids under 18 may attend unsupervised, but they must have parental consent first, during the registration process.
How crazy is it? Am I going to be clutching my pearls the whole time?
We’re right in between a good wholesome time and a super lit night out. It’s a well-tempered daytime party that keeps it classy, but we do get down. Expect house music, people making raunchy jokes, dudes in maid outfits, and all kinds of shenanigans. If stuff like that is going to trigger you, or you don’t want your family to be involved, stay home.
What’s better, subtitles or dubs?
For political reasons, we cannot confirm nor deny the right answer. But deep down inside you already know.
What’s the point of this event?
To bring people together and make life a little less terrible. To breathe some life into a world that has become disconnected and cold. To party with a purpose. To have fun. To share our love for anime and Japanese culture.
How small is this convention?
We expect about 100 people. It’s really small, but all killer, no filler. Unlike giant corpo-cons, we actually care about curating an amazing experience from start to finish. If you show up, you are pretty much guaranteed to have a great time and meet new people. This is the real deal.
When should I buy my tickets?
As early as possible. Tickets will very likely sell out, due to the occupancy limits. Not only are tickets cheaper ahead of time, but there’s no guarantee you’ll get in if you procrastinate. The first 30 tickets are only ten bucks. We might be selling tickets at the door for $20, but that’s only if we don’t sell out ahead of time.
